Safe Passage

Project Notes:

We worked with Communications Coordinator Z-Z Cowen to develop an attractive, engaging, Drupal-driven web site to replace their aging Plone-driven web site. The new site allows for easy update of content and a variety of layout options. Drupal’s language-independent architecture allows Safe Passage staff to translate content into Spanish for a soon-to-launch Spanish language site. The site was aimed specifically at potential volunteers and donors and provides an easy-to-use point of engagement for these key groups.

In 2010, Safe Passage’s new site was awarded the Best of the Web by the Technology Association of Maine in the Non-Profit Category.  “”Safepassage.org’s combination of excellent design and cutting-edge web technology is a showcase of the talents of Maine’s web development community,” said Joe Kumiszcza, Executive Director of TechMaine.

Many thanks to Arielle Walrath for the stellar art direction and to Alexandra and the rest of the Safe Passage team for helping build one of the best non-profit sites in Maine!
