Project Notes:

On a Sunday afternoon in the fall of 2009, I got a call from a good friend of mine who was in a pickle. He had a contact who needed a developer willing to jump onto a stalled project and wrap it up – quickly. AIGA 50, AIGA DC’s yearly design competition, was moving to online submission and judging.  A basic PHP / MySQL foundation had been started to facilitate the work of accepting and processing the hundreds of submissions they would later receive.  With Grafik, the Alexandria, Virginia-based creative agency leading the project, I quickly began work to build the framework that would gracefully power the site’s viewing and judging for months to come.
