I had the pleasure of working with Eric Mascia to implement the new design for Mu'umu'u Heaven, a Hawaiian boutique specializing in custom garments made from mature Hawaiina Mu'umu'us. Peter Birlem provided the art direction and design for the project while I was responsible for XHTML, CSS, and server management.

I worked with Tugboat Creative and Greg Salvadore to enhance the search engine optimization for SmartCarts.com. We tighted up the overall look of the site, converted some Flash elements to XHTML/JavaScript to expose copy to search spiders, and added more descriptive copy to the entire site homepage.

The Source, Evergreen MGA's client newsletter began digital distribution with their Fall 2009 issue. A newsletter, of course, needs a place for content to land. I worked with Evergreen MGA to build a site to house all of their newsletter content. Built in Drupal, the site allows visitors to see article teasers which prompt members to enter their username and password to view full articles, search the archives, and access PDF versions of historical newsletters.

Evergreen MGA, a Maine-based campground insurance provider, has published a quarterly newsletter for just about as long as anyone can remember. Recently, they decided to turn the paper newsletter they had been providing PDFs of via their website wild on the web. I worked with them to design and engineer a custom built newsletter that drives traffic to a site dedicated to all of their newsletters in digital form.

Earlier this year I was approached by Steve Dostie at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society to make some updates to their site. Of course, I was happy to do anything I could to help their animals find a new home.

Over the course of the summer, I worked to completely reengineer the code that drives their site, bringing it up to modern standards with an SEO friendly XHTML / CSS presentation layer, a full content management system enabling GAHS staff to easily update the site, and RSS broadcast feeds for news and animal adoptions that are automatically generated when staff add new content. The goal, of course, is to increase traffic and adoption rates for this fantastic facility.

Take a look and you might just find a new companion!

Falmouth, Maine-based Forget Me Nots needed a new online presence and I was thrilled to provide design, production, and photography services for this high-end consignment shop. Working with Bluewave Creative's account team, I was able to create an attractive and easy to manage site for the folks at Forget Me Nots.

Smart Carts was growing and they came to Tugboat Creative to help build that momentum. As part of a new phase of marketing, I lead Tugboat in the launch of Smart Carts new e-commerce site, helping to cut down the time it takes for staff at Smart Carts to take a phone order and increasing product and brand visibility.
